In rich, soft tones of blue, rose, and white, these blooms are so lovely in the back of the border or in a mass planting! Centurion Sky Blue won the highly prized Fleuroselect Gold Medal in 1997, and now you can get this award-winner along with clear white and a lovely, unusual shade of rose in this exciting mix!
One stand of these magnificent plants in bed or meadow transforms the landscape! Not only are the big, fully double blooms very intensely colored, but the vigorous 4- to 5-foot plant is long-lived and exceptionally hardy. The blooms open from the bottom of the spire up, so the top is still in bud while the bottom is in full flower–giving you weeks of color from every spike!
If started indoors in late winter, this Delphinium should bloom late in the season its first year, then on schedule thereafter. It does best in full sun or, in warmer climates, partial shade. Once the plant is established, shear it back almost to the ground right after flowering to encourage a second bloom in fall. Delphinium also appreciates a year-round mulch. Pkt is 10 seeds.
