Just 8 inches high but spreading a foot or more wide, this compact plant is very densely branched and free-flowering. The flowering stems are supple and strong, setting blooms 1 to 2 inches wide and packed with color and subtle sweet scent.
Best in full sun, Candy Showers blooms in spring, fall, and right through winter in warm climates. It’s a great companion to flowering kale, pansies, and other cool-season annuals. These yellow blooms are so sunny and bright, they stand out even from across the garden!
And Candy Showers is so easy to grow! Each multi-pelleted seed can produce several seedlings. Here’s how to grow them: start indoors and germinate the seeds at about 65 degrees F. Do NOT cover the seeds; they need light to germinate. (If you are using the Bio Dome, you may place the seed on top of the bio sponge or let it drop into the hole.) Germination should occur in about 7 to 10 days.When the seedlings emerge, lower the temperature just a bit, growing on at 60 to 65 degrees F. They’ll be ready to transplant in no time!
