We are so pleased to be able to bring you Norli, the French mangetout that won England's highest botanical honor, the Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticulture Society! You will find this Snow Pea absolutely mouthwatering — ultra-sweet and unbelievably tender every time!
Harvest these peas when they reach just 2 inches long for gourmet eating. Entirely stringless, they sport flat, dark green pods and arise very, very heavily on vigorous plants 20 inches high. The plants have a semi-bush habit that simplifies harvesting and means less work tying up the vines during the growing season. Nothing could be simpler or quicker than growing these snow peas in the cool spring or fall!
Norli also demonstrates great resistance to fusarium wilt, meaning even bigger and healthier crops for you every time! These plants grow vigorously and set quickly. You are going to love them!
Easy to grow, peas love cold weather, so plant as soon as the soil can be worked in the spring. Direct-sow 1 to 2 inches apart and 1 to 1½ inches deep. Peas are also ideal as a fall crop started in late summer. To conserve space and simplify harvesting, sow in double rows with a trellis between rows. Pkt is 2 ounces (at least 200 seeds), which sows 10 to 12 feet of row.
