Bright pointed peppers in pastel shades of purple, yellow, cream, and orange dot the top of this compact, well-branched little pepper! Such a charmer for containers as well as the garden bed, NuMex Easter is the most fun ornamental pepper yet, fruiting all summer long and so easy to grow. It’s easy to see why it has been named an All-America award winner!
Appearing in clusters of 4 to 6, these mini peppers are the cutest thing for patio, deck, and garden! They arise in all shades, from cream to butter to orange and lavender. And they sit at the top of the plant, facing the sun, so you can see them brilliantly above the lush dark green foliage. All of this on naturally well-branched, dense plants just 8 inches high and 10 inches wide!
NuMex Easter makes the perfect container subject, and is a great neighbor to flowering plants as well as foliage beauties in the sun. It greets spring with small white flowers, followed by peppers all summer long. As the chiles begin to dry out, snip them off. NuMex Easter may reward you with new ones!
Tolerant of heat, humidity, drought, wind, and rain, this pepper is about as easy as you can get for garden or container. Just give it plenty of sunshine, good soil drainage, and a thorough watering every now and again (when the top ½-inch of soil has dried out). An effortless and unusual source of color you’ll treasure all season long!
For best results, start these seeds indoors about 2 to 3 weeks after your Tomato seeds, and plant them outdoors when all danger of frost is past and the night temperatures are in the 50’s or above. Give NuMex Easter plenty of sunshine, spacing the plants about 8 to 12 inches apart in the garden bed. Pkt is 10 seeds.
