The future is here, and its name is Park’s Whopper Petunia! The only one of its kind in the world, this trailing grandiflora combines the best merits of the spreading Petunias with those of the bedding types. It is destined to be THE petunia of choice for gardeners everywhere, so pick your colors and start filling up your Bio Domes!
Very large 3- to 3 1/2-inch deep blue blooms erupt all over this plant, beginning in late spring and continuing right through summer and into fall. Unlike spreading Petunias, though, which set new blooms at the end of their stems (and can look rather bare and flat in the center as the long season goes on), the Whopper sets new buds all along the stems, so it always looks newly-blooming and full. But unlike upright Petunias, it has long, trailing stems, so you can let it dangle from hanging baskets, windowboxes, and flowerpots with merry abandon. Of course, it also looks terrific scrambling around in the sunny annual bed, filling the bare space between plants beautifully. You just can’t go wrong with this exciting new Petunia!
If you like these dark violet-blue blooms, try pairing them with Whopper Red or unusual Burgundy. And be sure to order all you want early in the season — we predict that Petunia Whopper is going to fly out of our Seed Room quickly! Pkt is 10 pelleted seeds.
