he flowers open tangerine-orange, then beginning blushing lavender, creating a sherbet-like swirl of soft color. These single blooms are large and showy, lasting a long time on the plant or in the vase. Cut or deadhead them promptly to encourage new buds to set all summer long!

Rainbow Marcela reaches just 16 to 18 inches high — quite compact for an Echinacea! — and spreads up to 24 inches wide. A selection of a native American perennial, it is very hardy and adaptable, standing up to heat, humidity, cold, drought, poor soil, and more. Deer and rabbits prefer other garden plants, and most insects and diseases leave it alone. Can’t ask for more in the way of low-maintenance gardening!
